Tom Kerr
Tom Kerr
is editor of ADVANCE for LPNs, serving LPNs on the East Coast. Kerr has been with ADVANCE newsmagazines since 1993. He previously served as associate editor and Web editor of ADVANCE for Occupational Therapists , where he won two Merion Publications "Writing Excellence" awards. He graduated from Kutztown (PA) University in 1992 with a telecommunications/journalism degree.
Joe Darrah
Joe Darrah
is senior associate editor and Web editor, has been published in more than 25 professional periodicals including newspaper, magazine and Internet. His honors include a 2009 APEX Award for Publication Excellence for his series "HIV/AIDS in the 21st Centuray, four Merion Publication awards for "Writing Excellence" and a Suburban Newspapers of America award while with Journal Register Company. Darrah holds a BS in journalism/English as a 2001 Penn State University graduate and is currently pursuing a master's degree at Rosemont (PA) College.
Sue Coyle
Sue Coylei s editorial assistant for ADVANCE for LPNs, ADVANCE for Occupational Therapy Practitioners and ADVANCE for Audiologists. She has been with ADVANCE since April 2008. Coyle has written previously for magazines, databases, blogs and Web sites, and graduated in 2006 from the University of Scranton with a BA in English.
Kay Bensing
Kay Bensing, MA, RN, senior staff nurse consultant, has 35 years of nursing experience; most in nursing education. She has master's degrees in education and journalism. She has extensive experience in curriculum development continuing education. Bensing developed, contributed and authored a number of nurse review courses and books. Concurrently, she has practiced psychiatric and medical-surgical nursing on a per diem basis. At Merion, besides her editorial and consulting responsibilities, Bensing administers the nursing continuing education program.
